Patent & Intellectual Property

VIZI's intellectual property portfolio protects the foundational innovations behind on-chain credit scoring. Our patents, trademarks, and proprietary algorithms represent years of research into blockchain-native creditworthiness assessment.

Patent Overview

VIZI's scoring methodology is patent-pending. The algorithm covers multi-chain credit signal aggregation and real-time risk scoring—a novel approach to deriving creditworthiness from public blockchain data without requiring any personal identifying information. Our filings protect the core innovations that make on-chain credit scoring possible at scale.

On-Chain Credit Scoring Methodology

Status: Patent Pending

Covers the method of analyzing multi-chain blockchain transaction histories to generate a standardized credit score within the 300–850 range. Includes the novel approach of weighting transaction patterns, DeFi protocol interactions, lending and borrowing behavior, liquidation events, and wallet longevity into a unified scoring model.

Cross-Chain Identity Resolution

Status: Patent Pending

Covers the methodology for linking wallet addresses across multiple blockchains to a single creditworthiness profile without requiring personal identifying information. Includes techniques for probabilistic address clustering, cross-chain bridge tracking, and multi-chain behavioral correlation.

Real-Time Blockchain Credit Monitoring

Status: Patent Pending

Covers the system architecture for continuously monitoring on-chain activity across multiple blockchains and updating credit scores in real-time as new transactions are confirmed. Includes the event-driven scoring pipeline and incremental score update algorithms.

What's Protected

VIZI's intellectual property spans the full scoring pipeline—from raw on-chain data ingestion to the final score output. The following components represent the core of our protected technology.

8-Signal Weighted Model

Our scoring engine evaluates eight primary signal categories—transaction history depth, DeFi protocol engagement, lending and repayment patterns, liquidation and risk events, asset diversity and stability, cross-chain activity breadth, wallet age and consistency, and governance participation. The specific weighting and interaction models between these signals are proprietary and protected.

Cross-Chain Identity Graph

VIZI's proprietary identity graph links wallet addresses across multiple blockchains to a single creditworthiness profile. Using probabilistic address clustering, bridge transaction analysis, and behavioral fingerprinting, the system builds a unified view of on-chain activity without ever requiring personal data or KYC.

Anti-Gaming Mechanisms

Protected algorithms for Sybil detection, wash trading filters, circular lending identification, and flash loan exclusion. These systems prevent artificial score inflation and ensure that VIZI scores reflect genuine financial behavior rather than manufactured activity.

Real-Time Score Recomputation

The event-driven architecture that enables scores to update within seconds of new on-chain activity being confirmed. Unlike traditional bureaus that update monthly, VIZI's incremental scoring pipeline processes new transactions as they occur, maintaining a continuously current credit picture.

Anti-Gaming Technology

Score manipulation is the single greatest threat to any credit system's integrity. VIZI has invested heavily in anti-gaming technology that detects and neutralizes attempts to artificially inflate or deflate scores. These systems are continuously updated and represent a significant portion of our IP portfolio.

Sybil Resistance

Wallet clustering algorithms identify when multiple wallets are controlled by the same entity. By analyzing funding patterns, transaction timing, gas usage, and behavioral signatures, VIZI can detect coordinated wallet farms designed to artificially inflate credit histories. Sybil wallets are flagged and their activity is discounted or excluded from scoring.

Wash Trade Filtering

Proprietary models detect wash trading—transactions where the same entity is on both sides of a trade to simulate genuine activity volume. VIZI analyzes transaction graphs, counterparty relationships, and timing patterns to identify and exclude wash activity from score calculations.

Circular Lending Detection

Advanced graph analysis detects circular lending patterns where funds are borrowed, transferred through intermediaries, and used to repay the original loan—creating the illusion of repayment history. VIZI traces fund flows across multiple hops to identify and neutralize these schemes.

Flash Loan Exclusion

Flash loans—uncollateralized loans that must be repaid within a single transaction block—are excluded from credit scoring entirely. While flash loans serve legitimate purposes in DeFi arbitrage, they do not represent genuine credit relationships and could be exploited to inflate repayment history metrics.

Open Standard Philosophy

While VIZI's scoring algorithm is protected intellectual property, the score output itself is designed as an open standard. We believe credit infrastructure should be accessible to everyone who needs it—borrowers, lenders, and builders alike.

Open API Access

Any lender, protocol, or institution can consume VIZI scores via our public API. Score data is returned in a standardized format that integrates easily with existing underwriting workflows. The API is documented, versioned, and supported with SDKs in Python, Node.js, Go, and Rust.

Transparency Reports

VIZI publishes quarterly transparency reports detailing score distributions, methodology updates, anti-gaming detection rates, and chain coverage expansion. These reports are freely available and provide the market with confidence in the integrity and consistency of VIZI's scoring system.

Regulatory Innovation

VIZI operates in a novel regulatory space. Our patent filings cover not just the technical methodology but also the innovative legal and structural framework that enables pseudonymous credit assessment without running afoul of existing financial regulation.

Not a CRA Under FCRA

VIZI is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. VIZI scores are informational tools derived from public blockchain data, not consumer credit reports. We do not collect, store, or process personal identifying information. This distinction is fundamental to our architecture and is reflected in our patent filings, which describe a novel approach to credit assessment that operates entirely outside the traditional PII-dependent framework.

Pseudonymous Credit Assessment

Our patent covers the novel approach of generating meaningful credit signals from pseudonymous blockchain data. Traditional credit scoring requires full identity verification—SSN, date of birth, address history. VIZI's methodology proves that creditworthiness can be assessed from behavioral patterns alone, without ever knowing who the borrower is. This represents a paradigm shift in how credit risk is evaluated.

Licensing & Enforcement
