First Steps

Getting Started

New to VIZI? Here is everything you need to know to check your first on-chain credit score.

Check Your Score on VIZIScan

Go to VIZIScan and paste your wallet address into the search bar. VIZIScan is completely free. No sign-up required. No personal data collected. Just paste your address and see your score instantly.

Understand Your Score Range

Your VIZI score is displayed on a 300–850 scale. You will also see a breakdown of the six scoring factors that contribute to your score, along with specific recommendations for improvement.

Find Your Wallet Address

Your VIZI score is tied to your blockchain wallet address. Open your wallet app (MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet, etc.) and copy your public wallet address. This is the address that starts with 0x (Ethereum/EVM) or your chain-specific format.

Score Breakdown

Understanding Your Score

What 300–850 Means

800–850 (Exceptional): Top-tier on-chain credit. Long wallet history, diversified DeFi engagement, zero liquidations.

740–799 (Very Good): Strong on-chain credit profile. Active DeFi participation, good lending history.

670–739 (Good): Solid credit history with room for improvement. Standard terms from most partners.

580–669 (Fair): Limited on-chain history or some negative signals such as recent liquidations.

300–579 (Poor): Very limited history or multiple liquidation events. Building consistent activity will improve the score.

What Factors Affect Your Score

Six primary categories determine your VIZI score. For a detailed breakdown, see Score Factors Explained.

Transaction History Depth — How long and how consistently you have been active on-chain.

DeFi Protocol Engagement — Breadth and depth of DeFi interactions.

Lending & Repayment Patterns — Borrowing and repayment behavior.

Liquidation & Risk Events — History of liquidations or forced closures.

Asset Diversity & Stability — Portfolio composition and holding behavior.

Cross-Chain Activity — Activity across multiple supported blockchains.

Actionable Tips

Improving Your Score

Your VIZI score is based entirely on on-chain behavior. Here are actionable steps to improve it over time.

Repay DeFi Loans on Time

Timely repayment on lending protocols like Aave, Compound, and MakerDAO is one of the strongest positive signals. Repay loans early when possible and maintain healthy collateral ratios.

Maintain Collateral Ratios

Keep your health factor well above liquidation thresholds. Monitor your positions closely, especially during market volatility, and add collateral proactively.

Avoid Liquidations

Liquidation events are the single most damaging negative signal to your VIZI score. If you borrow on DeFi protocols, add collateral before health factors drop below safe levels.

Build Wallet History

Regular on-chain transactions over months and years are a strong positive signal. Wallets with sporadic activity score lower than wallets with steady, consistent usage.

Diversify Protocols & Chains

Activity on multiple supported blockchains demonstrates breadth and earns a cross-chain activity bonus. Engage with diverse DeFi protocols rather than concentrating on a single platform.
